How to clear your account

Simple way to delete all menu and stock items, as well as financial transactions and recipes you’ve created during your trial.

When you are testing out different Poster features, sometimes it is necessary to start from scratch. There is a simple way to delete all menu and stock items, as well as financial transactions and recipes you’ve created during your trial, before adding your real items. In this article, I will show you how to clear your account.

☝️ Before performing any actions, make sure you are ready to delete all the following data:

  • All sales and receipts in the Reports
  • Supplies, stock balances, deductions, manufactures, transfers, and suppliers in Inventory
  • Promotions, customers, customer groups, and, thus, cashback rewards in Marketing
  • Transactions, cash shifts, and accounts in the Finances tab.
  • All dishes, products, ingredients, preparations, and stations in Products.

To clear an account:

  1. Go to Settings → Data clean-up.
  2. Type “DELETE” and confirm.
  3. Wait for a few minutes and check your account.

Now you can add or import your menu and inventory from scratch.

💡 If you need to keep some menu items from your trial, please, contact Poster support. We’ll perform a partial clearance and delete all sales, cash shifts, cashback rewards, and stock balances, leaving all the rest.
