How to create your site for delivery and pickup

Create a website for your business with Poster Site. The site will automatically populate with data from your Poster account and will be optimized for your customers' mobile devices. Accept delivery orders and offer customers takeout options.

Connect Poster Site:

Launch your site in minutes—no coding.

1. Go to App Marketplace or Applications → App Marketplace.
2. Find Poster Site and click Connect.
3. Open the link to view your site.

Before taking orders, prepare the basics in Poster: add clear names, recipes, and modifiers for the items you will sell online.

With a small number of categories, guests place orders faster. So organize your menu into two levels — main categories and subcategories nested within them.

For example, cocktails, coffee, and tea can be nested under the main category «Drinks», while soups, pastas, and breakfasts can go under «Kitchen». This way, guests will see only the main categories on the site's homepage, making it easier for them to quickly decide what to try today.

Make a category main

1. In Poster Site, open Menu.
2. Click and hold 𓃎 next to a category, then drag it to the top level or into another category.

💡 A two‑level menu appears when at least one category has a subcategory.

Prefer a single‑level menu? Move all subcategories to the main level. 

Sort categories and items

Put best‑sellers front and center. Hide items you won’t sell online.

1. In Poster Site, open Menu.
2. Turn off the Show switch for categories or items you don’t sell online.
3. Drag to reorder categories and items.
   
   

💡 Example: move Coffee to Hot drinks, or move Pancakes from Desserts to Breakfasts.

Descriptions and photos

You edit these descriptions and photos directly in the Poster Site app, in the Menu section — this is a separate, customer-facing menu from the Poster management console. 

1. In Poster Site, open Menu, then click Edit next to the item you want to update..
2. Add images, update names, or change prices.
3. Use filters No description and No photo to fill gaps quickly.
4. Write a clear description. Mention allergens or calories if needed.
5. Add helpful icons like 🔥 (spicy) or 🦐 (allergen).
6. Upload sharp images so guests can decide faster.
   
   💡 Use JPG, PNG, or JPEG up to 5 MB. Recommended size: 1000 × 1000 px. Find all image requirements to Covers, Sliders, Menu items and more down in the article.
   
   
7. Check Promo to pin items with a Popular badge. Clear Show for items that are sold out.
   
   💡 The + Add‑ons label appears automatically for items with modifiers.

☝️ Product names, images, and prices in the Poster management console do not change when you edit them here.

Add swiping slides to your homepage

Capture your visitors' attention with swipeable images on top of your Posrer Site. Showcase discounts, special deals, and brand messages with smooth-swiping slides on your homepage.

1. Go to Website structure → Main page and click Add slide.
2. To upload a new image click the blank slide area or drag and drop your image into it.
3. Click Save to apply changes.

Create custom pages in your Poster Site

Display side info unrelated to the menu. Career opportunities, volunteer initiatives or gig schedule taking place in your location.

Logo and favicon

Build trust with familiar branding in the header and browser tab.
In Settings → General, upload:

• Logo: 150 × 75 or 75 × 75 px (JPG, PNG, JPEG; up to 5 MB).
• Favicon: 16 × 16 px icon.

To preview a page without publishing, navigate to Website structure → Sub-pages and disable the Display on site toggle. This makes the page viewable through a direct link, allowing for real-time edits. To hide the page entirely, enable the Hide switch.

Add contact info:

1. Go to Settings → Contact information in Poster Site back office.
2. Enter business phone, email, and social media.
3. Pin your address on a map to display it to the customers.

 Setting location working time

💡 Specify the location's working time so that website visitors can place orders only during the specified hours.

Working hours cannot be set separately for each day of the week. The specified schedule applies to all days. For example, you cannot set working hours of 10:00–21:00 for Monday, 09:00–23:00 for Tuesday, and different hours for other days or mark specific days as days off.

To specify the working hours:

1. Go to Access → Locations in the admin panel.
2. Click Edit next to the location's name.
3. Specify the location's working hours in the Working time section.
4. Save the changes.

If your location is closed on a particular day and you don’t want guests to place delivery orders, turn off order acceptance from the website:

1. Open Apps → Poster Site.
2. Go to Settings, then the Delivery section.
3. Turn off the Accept orders from the website toggle.
4. Save the changes.

The information on the website will be updated within a few minutes. Guests will see a banner indicating that the location is temporarily not accepting orders.

Design the site

Make your brand unmistakable and increase conversions with consistent colors and typography.

1. Open Design in the Poster Site editor.
2. Choose a theme style and an accent color for buttons and text.
