How to select a table on the floor plan

The floor plan is a visual map of your tables.

To select a table at the Poster POS:

1. Enter the PIN code of the waiter serving the table.
2. Select a table on the floor plan and enter the number of guests.
3. Add items to the order from the menu displayed on the right side of the screen.

💡 Table colors on the floor plan help waiters navigate quickly:

• Gray — the table is free.
• Blue — the receipt was opened by the waiter whose name appears in the top right corner of the POS.
• Purple — the receipt was opened by a different waiter, whose name is shown on the table. Only that waiter or an admin can edit the order.

💡 To skip the guest count step and go straight to adding items after selecting a table, turn off the guest count prompt.

In the management console, go to Settings → General. Under the Point of Sale settings section, uncheck Turn on guest count and save.

💡 Install the mobile waiter app so waiters can take orders and send kitchen tickets directly from their smartphones.

If your venue doesn't use tables or operates in fast food mode, disable the floor plan.
