How to accept order payments
Accept payment for orders at the Poster Register with cash, card, bonuses, a certificate, or another method — for example, Uber Eats or Wolt. If needed, you can split the receipt total between several payment methods.
How to take payment at the register:
How to split payment between several methods
If a guest wants to pay for one order using several methods, distribute the amount across the corresponding fields.
For example, an order totals $135: the guest pays $100 in cash and $35 by card.
To do this, enter the appropriate amount in the field for each selected payment method so that the total matches the receipt amount.
How to combine a custom payment method with Cash or Card
Additional payment methods, such as «Uber Eats» or «Wolt», can be used not only to pay the entire receipt in full but also for partial payment — combined with cash or card, if the payment types are compatible:
-
💳 Card + a cash-type custom method
-
💵 Cash + a cashless-type custom method
For example, if the «Uber Eats» method is set to cashless type, it can be combined with cash.
You can check a method's type in the Management console, under Settings → Orders, in the Payment methods section.
After selecting a custom method, a separate amount field will appear on the payment screen. Enter the portion of the receipt the guest is paying with that method.
For example, the receipt total is $39.90. The guest pays $30 in cash and $9/90 via the custom method «Uber Eats». Enter $30 in the Cash field and $9.90 in the Uber Eats field.
Limitations
- With split payment, the total amount across all fields must not exceed the receipt amount.
- The Pay button becomes active once the entered amounts together fully "cover" the receipt.
- A custom method can only be combined with cash or card when their types differ: cash-type with cashless-type, or vice versa.
- Two payment methods of the same type cannot be combined. For example, you cannot use cash and a cash-type custom method at the same time.
- Before using a custom method, it must first be created in the settings.
