How to delete a customer or customer group in Poster
Delete a customer or customer group if it was created by mistake or is no longer relevant.
Remove unnecessary or duplicate customer profiles to keep your customer database organized
To delete a customer:
- Open Marketing → Customers in the management console.
- Click ··· next to the customer you want to delete.
- Select Delete.
After deletion, the customer profile, data, and bonus balance will be moved to the trash.
Recover a Customer
Deleted customer profiles stay in the trash for 30 days. If you deleted a customer by mistake:
- Click the trash icon in the upper-right corner.
- Click Recover next to the customer you want to recover.
Keep your customer groups organized by removing duplicates and outdated groups.
To delete a customer group:
- Open Marketing → Customer groups in the management console.
- Click ··· next to the group you want to delete.
- Select Delete.
After deletion, the profiles of all group members, along with their bonuses and discounts, will be moved to the trash.
If you deleted a group by mistake, restore it from the trash within 30 days after deletion. Once restored, all customers in the group will also be restored.
Keep your customer database up to date, and set up a loyalty program to encourage guests to come back.
