How to change a customer group or reset purchase totals for all customers

Bulk edit customer data to launch a new loyalty program or reset bonus balances.

Manage your customer database and loyalty programs more efficiently. To quickly update the customer group or purchase total for multiple customers at once, export the data, make the changes, and import the updated file back into Poster.

To update customer information
  1. Open Marketing → Customers in the management console and enable the ID column.
  2. To keep customer country, city, and address data after import, also enable these columns.


    ☝ After import, only the first customer address is preserved. Any additional addresses will be deleted.

  3. Click Export in the upper-right corner.

  4. In the exported spreadsheet, update the customer group or purchase total for the customers you need.
    💡 In Excel, you can drag the same value across multiple cells.

  5. Save the file.
  6. In Marketing → Customers, click Import.
  7. Select the file where you updated the customer group or purchase total.
  8. Match the following fields:
    • full name,
    • customer group,
    • purchase total,
    • country,
    • city,
    • address.
  9. Click Validate Data.
  10. If the validation finishes without errors, click Upload.
